Dr Jai Kaushik – MBBS SHCP FRACGP
Dr Jai is an experienced GP with a specialised degree in FRACGP. Dr Jai has completed an Advanced Certificate of Dermoscopy, and an Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. He regularly attends skin cancer conferences to keep himself up-to-date with the latest advancements. Dr Jai is also trained in complex flaps, grafts, nose and ear reconstructions with ACCO, Healthcert and SCCA. Dr Jai has applied to teach Advance Dermoscopy and Surgery from 2023 to the upcoming skin cancer doctors.
Dr Jai is one of our cosmetic medicine practitioners with numerous advanced anti-wrinkle, PRP and dermal filler trainings across Australia. He is a member of the Australasian College of Aesthetic Medicine, and has done advanced trainings with ASI, Dermamedical and AAAM.
Dr Jai joined the team in 2020, and is now enrolling to hold a laser licence with Radiation Health QLD to further broaden his aesthetic treatments.
Dr Jai is available for appointments Monday to Friday.
Dr Edward Lee – MBBS
Dr Edward Lee is a GP Registrar and joined the team in 2021 to complete his postgraduate training. He completed an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy followed by his medical degree at the University of QLD.
Dr Lee welcomes new patients and is available for appointments Monday to Friday.
Dr Maleeha Farooqui – MBBS
Dr Maleeha Farooqui is a GP Registrar who joined the team in 2021.
Dr Maleeha has a wide variety of experience having worked in Hospitals throughout Australia for over 8 years.
Dr Maleeha has been working in General Practice in Western Australia since 2018 and has recently relocated to Rockhampton with her husband and children.
Dr Maleeha enjoys all areas of General Practice medicine and welcomes new and existing patients.
Dr Maleeha welcomes new patients and is available for appointments Monday to Wednesday during school hours.
Dr Anil Sunda - MBBS MS FRACGP
Dr Sunda practised as a General Surgeon in India until 2000, when he moved with his family to Australia. Dr Sunda worked in several Hospitals in NSW and Tasmania before moving into General Practice and gaining his FRACGP.
Dr Sunda has worked as a GP in Rockhampton for the past 15 years and has a special interest in Skin Cancer Medicine and Skin Surgery. Dr Sunda has completed multiple Primary skin cancer certificates and Advanced Dermoscopy certificates. Dr Sunda joined the team in 2021 and is one of our Skin Specialists.
Dr Sunda is available for skin checks and procedures from Monday to Friday.
Dr Sally Buchan – MB ChB
With almost 30 years of experience, Dr Sally Buchan is one of our valued cosmetic medicine doctors. Dr Buchan retired from General Practice in June 2021 but continues to work in the cosmetic field for Absolute Health & Skin Clinic.
Dr Buchan has a dedicated interest in Cosmetic Medicine and has traveled throughout Australia and abroad to further her skills and education in the latest treatments in non-surgical cosmetic medicine. Dr Buchan is a member of the Australasian Society of Cosmetic Medicine and has achieved her Certificate of Sclerotherapy with the Australasian College of Phlebology. Dr Buchan has undergone extensive training with Allergan and Galderma aesthetic products. Dr Buchan holds a current laser licence with Radiation Health QLD.
Dr Buchan is available for cosmetic injectables and sclerotherapy monthly by appointment only.
Dr Pradheepa Sithranjan - MBBS
Dr Pradheepa Sithranjan is a GP Registrar who joined the team in March 2022.
Dr Sithranjan moved to Rockhampton in 2015 and had been working at the Rockhampton Hospital.
Dr Sithranjan welcomes new patients and is available for appointments Tuesday to Thursday during school hours.
Dr Bhumika Khetan - MBBS
Dr Bhumika Khetan made Rocky her home in 2020 after moving from Victoria with her husband. She has been working at the Rockhampton Hospital and joined the team in April 2022 to pursue her passion for general/family medicine.
Dr Khetan is an experienced young doctor with special interests in family medicine, cosmetic medicine, chronic diseases and ophthalmology (eye conditions). She completed her masters in Ophthalmology in India in 2014.
Currently, Dr Khetan is completing her training in nutritional health and is passionate about nutrition for chronic disease management.
Dr Khetan welcomes new patients and is available for appointments on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Joanne Mackie – Laser Technician & Skin Therapist
Jo is our Cosmetic Coordinator and began her career at Absolute Health & Skin in February 2017. Jo provides all of our cosmetic consultations, treatments and post-treatment care. Jo is a Diploma qualified Beauty Therapist with over 19 years of experience in the beauty and skin industry. She has continued to further her knowledge through annual asap skincare training and has undergone two advanced skin courses with Skin Education International. Jo is our Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) and has held a Laser Licence since 2017 with QLD Radiation Health. Jo is fully trained and qualified in Laser Tattoo Removal, IPL Photo Rejuvenation, CO2 Laser for scars, lesion removal and skin resurfacing, PDT, Skin Microneedling, LED Therapy, Microdermabrasion & Sonophoresis, asap Peels and asap skincare prescribing. She also assists our Doctors with all cosmetic injectables appointments. Jo is currently expanding her knowledge and skills by studying the Diploma of Nursing through CQUni in 2023 & 2024.
Jo is available for appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Our Nursing Team
Absolute Health and Skin Clinic boasts an incredible team of General Practice Nurses. Our nurses assist the GP's in all aspects of medical and skin procedures and pride themselves on maintaining the highest level of patient care.
Our highly trained nurses are able to offer wound care, childhood immunisations, ear syringing, travel vaccinations and are always available to assist our patients in all aspects of nursing care. At Absolute Health and Skin, you will receive superior care from a nursing team with over 70 years of combined experience.
Our Nursing team are: Lara, Kerrie, Sarah and Tammy.
Our Admin Team
They are the smiling faces you will see when you walk through the front doors and the friendly helpful voice on the end of the line when you call. They are our dedicated administration team!
Lead by our Director and Practice Manager, Lynette Glover, our medical receptionists are: Jordan, Brodie, Bec and Jess.
